Colosseum Cinema, Berlin
House of Chaos is a conceptual, technological and art experience conceived as a fun-fair where guests roam through the space and interact with installations and vendors. The idea is to attract crypto natives and those not familiar with the technology. The event was hosted in a former multiplex cinema with a historical building at its core. House of Chaos was a side event during Blockchain Week Berlin 23.
The event included immersive installations by projects such as VYBEZ (AI music remixer) and Origin Trail (knowledge graphs). Each of these had a dedicated cinema room, where guests could remix different songs or participate in a quiz and win prizes. Additionally, the interior of the main venue hall was projection mapped.
Additionally, the attendees could explore different projects from the ecosystem and learn about different types of technologies;
Polkadot and Nova Wallet:
Guests were introduced to Nova Wallet by 2 Polkadot Ambassadors. All of the attendees learned how Nova can help them navigate the ecosystem and how to create their own wallets for the first time.
KILT:
Once the guests downloaded Nova Wallet and created their addresses, KILT Protocol offered them DIDs and educated them on the importance of the same.
AMFORC:
Amforc validators brought a 90KG vintage TV all the day from abroad so that they could show everyone how staking is an easy process with them, as the team handles all the difficult parts. They caught the attention of the crowd by inviting everyone to play vintage Nintendo games with them and chat about staking.
Governance:
At the core of Polkadot we have governance. It is utilised for network upgrades and treasury spends. This mechanism is mainly used for the purpose of forkless upgrades. Once attendees were done with their gaming rounds, they could learn all about governance. We had 2 Polkadot ambassadors explaining the functionalities and meaning of Polkadot governance. This resulted in a wider audience understanding the value of on-chain governance.
Zeitgeist:
After the governance rundown, attendees had a crash course into prediction markets, where they could participate in these or learn about how to open their own.
T-shirt printing:
The guests could bring their own garments, or print 3 different t-shirt designs at the venue, as there was a silk screen printing press that was brought to the venue.
After Party:
The after party was split into the main and VIP areas for sponsors. The guests could mingle until 3AM and there was a line-up of 4 DJs including a back to back session.
